Under Illinois law, if you were injured at work, workers compensation is the sole basis for recovery. Under the law, an injured worker is entitled to recovery as detailed below.
Medical

In Illinois, your medical bills are covered 100%.

If you are unable to work in your normal capacity, and your employer is unable to provide you with alternative, suitable, work, you are entitled to Temporary Total Disability Benefits, which is the equivalent of 2/3 of your average weekly wage. These benefits are payable during the period of disability or until your injury is determined to be permanent.

If your injury is determined to be permanent, you may recover the amount of your lost wages. The amount you can recover is the equivalent of 60% of your average weekly wage.

If you are permanently disabled and can’t work at all, you can recover Permanent Total Disability. You can recover an amount equal to 2/3 of your average weekly wage, with some limitations. This benefit may be payable on a permanent basis.
